Irish social dancing at the 2006 University of Chicago Folk Festival was led by Ed Heffernan from the Francis O'Neill Club, with musicians from the Murphy Roche Irish Music Club.  Other Francis O'Neill dancers scattered around the dance floor to help couples learn the dances.

Francis O’Neill dancers included:  Walt Bauman, Cheryl Arvio,  Lee & Stephi Williams, Marie Scatena, Judy Kenning,  Ed & Janice Heffernan.

Musicians from Murphy Roche were:  Dave Bagdade, Kell and Mike Chole, Melody Geraci, Laurie McCauley, Kimberley McCauley, Mike Macken, Joe Martin, and Glen Pekin.
